How to Renew Driving License in Saudi Arabia

The Absher portal allows you to renew your Saudi driving license for a period of 2, 5, or 10 years. In order to renew your driving license, you must meet the requirements outlined below.

1- There must not be any unpaid traffic penalties in your name.

2- A medical examination (Efada Medical Test) must be done at the nearest approved medical center.

3- The driving license renewal fee must be deposited in your Iqama number. The renewal fee for two years is SR 80, SR 200 for five years, and SR 400 for 10 years.

4- Your current driving license validity must be less than 180 days.

How to Renew Saudi Driving License through Absher

Visit the Absher portal:

Log in with your username and password.

In Dashboard, select “Services” from the “My Service” menu.

Click on the “Traffic“.

Select “Renew Driving License“.

Click “Next” after reviewing service requirements.

On the next page, select “Private Driving License” as the license type and “License Renewal Period” as 2,5 or 10 years, respectively.

Click on “Next”.

To complete the renewal, “Tick” the box next to the terms and conditions and then click “Confirm.”

You can request postal delivery of your renewed driving license by clicking on “Request Postal Delivery.” Also, if you want to pick it up from the nearest traffic office in your area, you can do so by making an appointment through Absher.
